AI Firm Behind India’s ‘Mahabharat’ Series Turns to Indonesian Myth in Cross-Border IP Pact (EXCLUSIVE)

Indian AI company Galleri5 is partnering with Collective Studios’ Historyverse and Indonesia’s Singhasari Special Economic Zone to develop films and series based on Indonesian mythology and history. The venture aims to pair local creative expertise with AI-assisted production tools, helping stories rooted in Indonesia reach wider audiences.

The planned projects span mythology, fantasy, history and animation, with “Echoes of Nusantara” the first concept under discussion. Indonesian creators and cultural specialists will work with Historyverse, which will lead development, production and preparation of intellectual property for potential financing and distribution. Galleri5’s G5 AI Studio combines more than 200 AI models and has been used to make over 10,000 adverts and videos; the company also developed the technology used for India’s “Mahabharat: Ek Dharmayudh”.
