Munteanu and AiMation founder Tom Paton co-direct, and BriskPace Unlimited also has investments in micro-drama ventures Sweetz and Snips.

Explained simply
True crime tells stories about real crimes and the people involved, while comedy uses humour to tell a story. AI-generated images and music are made with artificial intelligence tools, with people guiding the creative work. The new series combines these elements in a fictional tale about Lucky Briscoe, an orangutan who rises to fame and political influence after growing up in Communist Romania.
Al Munteanu created the series and runs BriskPace Studios, which has launched BriskPace Unlimited to develop new kinds of shows. Jason Hazeley, known for writing on Cunk on Earth, is the showrunner, the person overseeing the series’ creative direction. Munteanu and AiMation founder Tom Paton are co-directing, and Joe Markham is also writing.
The project reflects BriskPace Unlimited’s interest in productions designed around AI tools and in reaching both broadcasters or streaming services and audiences directly. The label has also invested in Sweetz and Snips, ventures focused on short, mobile-friendly dramas.
