Alan Jones’s text messages to boy, 14, are revealed in court before radio star invited him to his house years later and allegedly touched his bottom: ‘Beautiful human being’
Retired radio broadcaster Alan Jones is on trial for indecent assault and sexual touching, with his fifth complainant testifying that Jones contacted him when he was 13 and offered financial help whilst calling him "beautiful" and "wonderful." Prosecutors allege that years later, when the teenager was 17, Jones kissed him and touched his bottom without consent at his Southern Highlands home.
Court documents show Jones praised the boy as "the most brilliant 13-year-old/14-year-old I've ever met" and suggested frequent meetings, whilst advising him not to tell his mother about their discussions. Jones has pleaded not guilty to all 21 charges, with his defence team contending the allegations are false and motivated by revenge after Jones ceased financial support to the teenager's family. The trial, which began in August, is expected to continue into November or December.
