Alan Ritchson Is Dominating the Netflix Charts With 2 Hits and 7 Million Views

Collider · 3 hours ago

Actor Alan Ritchson is enjoying a standout moment on Netflix's viewership charts, with two of his earlier films drawing a combined seven million views despite having no new streaming release this week. Ritchson rose to prominence playing Jack Reacher in Prime Video's Reacher, a role he will reprise in an upcoming fourth season, alongside a September spin-off series called Neagley, keeping him firmly in the spotlight even as this particular success stems purely from past work resurfacing in popularity.

The milestone comes in a week when Ritchson also headlined the theatrical action film Motor City, which took around $1.6 million domestically and received a mixed-to-positive critical reception, with Collider's review praising his performance as a vengeful ex-convict. However, the Netflix chart placements relate to two separate, previously released Ritchson movies rather than Motor City. His streaming dominance is being framed as especially notable given that box-office attention this week has largely centred on Tom Holland, whose film The Odyssey has grossed roughly $700 million worldwide in under a fortnight, soon to be followed by Spider-Man: Brand New Day.

  • Alan Ritchson's two Netflix films drew 7 million combined views.
  • Achieved with no new streaming release this week.
  • He'll return as Jack Reacher in Reacher season four and Neagley spin-off.
