Alan Ritchson's Prime Video series 'Reacher' has confirmed its first Season 5 cast additions, with production already underway ahead of an expected 2027 release. The move underscores the streamer's confidence in the franchise, as Prime Video renewed the show for a fifth season even before Season 4 has aired, betting on continued strong performance following Ritchson's high-profile year in film.

Jay Baruchel, Kevin Durand, Amanda Ip and Ciara Bravo will join as series regulars for Season 5. Baruchel, known for voicing Hiccup in 'How to Train Your Dragon', had originally been cast for Season 4 but withdrew due to a personal matter, while Ip is recognised for her role in the Prime Video crime thriller 'Cross'. Reacher Season 4 is due to premiere on 12 August, and the renewal comes as Ritchson has also enjoyed success this year with Netflix's 'War Machine', which drew over 130 million views and a confirmed sequel, and the theatrical release 'Motor City'.
