Alex Scott steps away from Disney+’s Champions League coverage for other projects
Alex Scott has left her role presenting Disney+’s Women’s Champions League coverage, choosing to focus on other projects. Her departure follows criticism of the platform’s production after technical problems interrupted the opening round of this season, although sources say her relationship with Disney remains positive.
Scott had presented the competition since Disney+ secured its rights in 2025. One disruption was an unscheduled advert break lasting more than three minutes during Arsenal’s 1-0 win over HB Køge; Disney’s presenting team is expected to continue with Shebahn Aherne, Nedum Onuoha and Lianne Sanderson. Scott is focusing on One More Word WSL, a show she launched with Anita Asante and Fara Williams, and the competition resumes on 28 October.
