Deadline · 6 hours ago

Alexandra Daddario has signed on to lead the indie drama "American Fever Dream," marking the feature directorial debut of writer-director Jaclyn Noel. The film also stars Christopher Convery, Julian Morris and Spenser Granese, and follows a middle-class family's gradual slide into poverty over nearly two decades, presented as an examination of the collapse of the American Dream.

Daddario plays Carrie, a mother trying to keep her family together as their situation worsens, with Convery as her son James and Morris as her husband Bo; Granese's role has not been disclosed. The project is produced by Apoorva Guru Charan through her All Caps banner, alongside Nick Young, Noel, Lauren Mann, Daddario and Heather Francis. Daddario, known for "The White Lotus" and the upcoming Season 3 of "Mayfair Witches," will next appear in the biopic "Hershey" opposite Finn Wittrock this November.
