Mark Wahlberg backs Brooklyn Beckham’s hot sauce amid family estrangement
Brooklyn Beckham’s estrangement from his parents has returned to public attention after actor Mark Wahlberg endorsed Brooklyn’s Cloud 23 hot sauce. The article presents Wahlberg’s support as a pointed gesture because he was once close to David Beckham, though it does not establish that the endorsement was intended as a slight.
Wahlberg showed the sauce on Instagram Stories and called it “my boy Brooklyn”; he is also using it in recipes at Wahlburgers, which has more than 30 locations. Brooklyn founded Cloud 23 in 2024, and its name refers to David’s former shirt number. The article says David recently liked one of Brooklyn’s Paris Fashion Week posts, while Brooklyn has blocked his family and previously said he did not want to reconcile.

Brooklyn Beckham is the eldest son of footballer David Beckham and former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham. The 25-year-old has become estranged from his parents in recent years, with their relationship having significantly broken down.
In 2024, Brooklyn launched Cloud 23, a hot sauce brand named after his father's iconic shirt number from his Manchester United days. The sauce has now garnered public attention after Hollywood actor Mark Wahlberg publicly endorsed it on social media and began using it at his restaurant chain, Wahlburgers.
Wahlberg's support is noteworthy because he was previously close to David Beckham, which has led some to interpret the endorsement as a meaningful gesture given the family tensions. Whilst David has occasionally engaged with Brooklyn's public life, Brooklyn has made clear he does not wish to reconcile with his parents.
