Alison Krauss & Union Station Cancel Upcoming Tour Dates: ‘This Decision Was Not Made Lightly’

Billboard · 5 hours ago

Alison Krauss & Union Station have cancelled a run of upcoming dates on their Arcadia Tour after lead singer Alison Krauss was advised by medical professionals to take a period of vocal rest. The band announced the decision on social media on 10 September, saying it was not made lightly given their commitment to fans, but that protecting Krauss's health and vocal integrity had to take priority, with hopes of returning to the affected cities in future.

More than a dozen shows are affected, starting with a concert scheduled for 11 September in Davenport, Iowa, and including three nights at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium from 18-20 September, plus dates across Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Missouri, Texas, Oklahoma, Arizona, Nevada and California through early October. Fans holding tickets will receive full refunds via their original point of purchase. The cancellation comes as the group promotes Arcadia, their first album in almost 14 years released last year, and ahead of the IBMA Bluegrass Music Awards in October, where they are nominated in several categories including entertainer of the year.
