EA Sports is preparing to launch a "World Cup Winners" promotional card set in FC 26's Ultimate Team mode, celebrating Spain's victory in the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The promo will introduce highly rated special cards for Spanish players, which are expected to be extremely powerful in the current Ultimate Team meta but hard to obtain due to low pack odds.

Sixteen players are set to feature in the promo, including Yamal, Rodri, Pedri, Olmo and Cucurella, with stats such as pace, shooting, passing, dribbling, defence and physicality boosted across the board. All the cards will reportedly carry a "+5" upgrade to their base stats, and all except goalkeeper Unai Simon will be obtainable through packs, meaning they are likely to be expensive on the transfer market for several weeks. EA Sports has not confirmed an exact release time, but based on the usual pattern of such promos dropping 48 hours after a tournament win, the cards were expected to go live around 6pm BST on the day of publication, or possibly the following day at the same time.
