Fortnite's Chapter 7, Season 4 (dubbed "Override") introduces a fresh collection of unlockable Sprites, special items that grant players unique in-match abilities as they're found and levelled up around the island. There are currently 12 Sprites available, ranging from Rare to Mythic rarity, including Sonic and Tails crossover Sprites granting faster sprinting and hovering respectively, and a Crown Sprite that awards extra crown wins. Five further Sprites, chosen through a "Design-A-Sprite" community competition, are confirmed to arrive later in the season, including a Honey Sprite that unleashes bees on attackers and an X-Ray Sprite offering brief wallhacks. Unlike the previous season, dedicated Sprite Chests have been removed from the map, with players instead needing to loot generally or use other in-game methods to obtain them.
