Madden NFL 27 has launched with an expanded set of team relocation options in Franchise Mode, letting players move their franchise away from a realistic save and customise it with new cities and kits. The feature is a long-running staple of Madden's Franchise Mode, giving players fresh ways to personalise long-term saves rather than sticking with real-world NFL markets.

The game offers 34 relocation cities, each assigned a market size (from Small to Huge) and a fan "personality" type such as Laid Back, Hardcore, Loyal or Front Runner, spanning US cities alongside international destinations like London, Tokyo, Dublin, Paris and Melbourne. There are also more than 30 custom uniform sets, such as the Antlers, Black Knights and Golden Eagles, each with their own colour schemes, available once a team relocates. To relocate, players simply open the League menu within Franchise Mode and select the Relocate or Rebuild option to choose a new home city.
