‘Altadena: One Fire After Another’ Documentary Set by Former ’60 Minutes’ Producers (EXCLUSIVE)
Climate journalist Bill McKibben and former “60 Minutes” producer David Gelber are making a documentary about Altadena’s recovery after the 2025 Eaton Fire in Los Angeles. “Altadena: One Fire After Another” follows residents rebuilding homes and community, drawing attention to the long aftermath that received less coverage than the fire itself.
The film is set more than a year after the blaze and combines residents’ accounts with perspectives from climate, economics and public policy professionals. Jonathan Scheinberg is directing and producing, with Vanessa Gould producing and editing; the project is in post-production while its makers consider distribution options.
