Amazon just hiked the prices for Echo, Fire TV, and Kindle products by up to 60 percent
Amazon has increased prices across several Echo, Fire TV, Kindle and Eero devices, citing significantly higher memory and storage component costs. The changes matter because lower-priced products saw the steepest rises, making Amazon’s entry-level hardware noticeably less affordable amid a wider memory-cost surge.
The Echo Dot rose from $49.99 to $79.99, a 60 per cent increase, while the Fire TV Stick 4K Max increased 41.7 per cent to $84.99 and the basic Kindle rose 36.4 per cent to $149.99. Other increases include the Kindle Paperwhite, Echo Show displays and Eero routers; Ring cameras, video doorbells and the $219.99 Echo Studio appear unaffected.
