Amazon Prime Video has acquired international streaming rights to the upcoming "Baywatch" reboot, securing the show for much of Europe (including France, Germany, Italy and Spain), plus Canada, Latin America, India and other territories. The deal, brokered by Fremantle, also grants Amazon licences to the original "Baywatch" back catalogue, extending the franchise's global reach as it prepares for a new generation of viewers ahead of its 2027 launch.

The reboot stars Stephen Amell alongside Jessica Belkin, Shay Mitchell, Hassie Harrison, Thaddeus LaGrone, Noah Beck and Brooks Nader, with Matt Nix as showrunner and McG directing the premiere episode. As part of the Amazon deal, all nine seasons of the original series and two seasons of "Baywatch Hawaii" are included, though the spin-off "Baywatch Nights" is excluded. Produced by Fremantle and Fox Entertainment, the new 12-episode first season debuts on Fox in January 2027 before arriving on Prime Video later that year, with Fox Entertainment Global retaining domestic distribution rights.
