Amazon seemingly leaked Jason Statham’s entire Mutiny movie

The Verge · 2 hours ago

Amazon's Prime Video service in the US appears to have accidentally made Jason Statham's forthcoming film Mutiny available to stream in full, two days before its scheduled theatrical release on 21 August 2026. The film's official marketing states it will only be available in cinemas upon release, making this an apparent leak rather than an intentional early launch or promotional stunt, since Prime Video is not owned by the studios behind the film.

The Verge's Dominic Preston confirmed the entire 95-minute film was watchable on the platform, complete with a full cast list, thumbnail and plot synopsis. Mutiny is produced by Punch Palace Productions and MadRiver Pictures and distributed in the US by Lionsgate, none of which are Amazon-owned entities, and it remains unclear when the film was added to the platform. The Verge has contacted Amazon for comment, and the film was still accessible on Prime Video US at the time of writing.

  • Mutiny streamed in full on Prime Video US before its cinema release
  • Film isn't due out until 21 August 2026
  • Unclear how or when the apparent leak occurred; Amazon contacted for comment
