He had accused former stylist Naomi Parry and friend Catriona Gourlay of selling items belonging to Amy Winehouse, including dresses and used make-up, without his consent, but the court dismissed the claim, leaving him liable for the costs of the failed action.

The 75-year-old former London taxi driver, who has positioned himself as a guardian of his daughter's legacy since her 2011 death, now faces legal costs reported at around £950,000. Amy Winehouse, known for hits including "Valerie" and "Tears Dry On Their Own", died of alcohol poisoning at the age of 27, and disputes over ownership of her belongings have continued to surface in the years since.
