Amyl and the Sniffers have announced Truth or Consequence, a live album and accompanying concert film that sees the Australian punk band reworking their own songs in a country style. The project, filmed at Los Angeles' El Coyote restaurant, pairs the band's usual raucous energy with a "combat boots meet cowboy boots" twist, marking their second live release in under a year and continuing their long-running collaboration with director John Angus Stewart.

Recorded on 28 April 2025, the film was shot by Stewart, who has previously directed several of the band's music videos and earlier concert films, including December's Live at Ally Pally from London's Alexandra Palace. The concert film opens in select cinemas worldwide on 27 August, with US dates to follow, while the live album, featuring two unreleased tracks and a cover of Slim Dusty's "Lights on the Hill", is released on 4 September via Virgin Music Group. The band will follow their current European tour with a return to the US on 1 October, including both weekends of Austin City Limits and shows in Dallas, Atlanta, Raleigh, Nashville and New Orleans.
