The BFI London Film Festival has confirmed further details of its Screen Talks lineup, revealing the specific projects several stars are expected to discuss at the in-depth on-stage sessions. Andrew Scott is set to speak about Elsinore, the festival's opening film, while Jesse Eisenberg will likely discuss The Debut, which closes the festival, with both events forming part of a broader slate featuring major acting and directing talent gathering at BFI Southbank.

Elsinore, starring Scott alongside Olivia Colman, Johnny Flynn, Billie Piper, Luke Thompson and Peter Mullan, is written by Stephen Beresford and dramatises actor Ian Charleson's final weeks playing Hamlet at the National Theatre after Daniel Day-Lewis withdrew mid-run. Eisenberg's The Debut, co-starring Julianne Moore and Paul Giamatti, follows a shy woman drawn into a high-stakes community theatre production. Other confirmed Screen Talk guests include Cynthia Erivo, Mahershala Ali, John Malkovich, Sofia Coppola, Ava DuVernay, Brad Bird, James Gray and Naomi Ackie, with Danny Boyle's talk taking place in Manchester — the first Screen Talk held outside London. The 70th BFI London Film Festival runs from 7 to 18 October 2026, with the full programme to be announced in due course.
