Angel Reese’s ‘manifesting’ one year ago actually worked – she’s heading to the WNBA Finals

Angel Reese’s social media post a year ago said she was “manifesting” a WNBA Finals appearance, and she has now reached that goal with the Atlanta Dream. The team beat the New York Liberty 85-83 on Friday to complete a three-game sweep and reach the Finals for the first time since 2013.

Reese scored 22 points and added nine rebounds, three assists and two blocks in the deciding game. Named Defensive Player of the Year this season, she will face the Golden State Valkyries, who upset the Las Vegas Aces, in a best-of-seven series beginning on 17 October; a title would be Reese’s first WNBA championship.
