Nashville-based singer-songwriter Angela Autumn has released “Heavy Tobacco”, the second single from her forthcoming album Believer. The raw, off-kilter roots-rock track follows June’s lead single “Mountain Stream” and arrives with a music video, further previewing the album’s sound.

Autumn says the song reflects on tobacco’s perceived purifying role in some cultures and the idea that positive things can become harmful through abuse. She also links smoking to the passage of time, ambition, legacy and the consequences of necessary choices; Believer is due on 11 September via Gar Hole Records.
