Destructoid has published an updated tier list and guide for the game Anime Dungeons, ranking the best heroes, spells, teams and classes players can use as they progress through the game. Compiled by writer Gordan Perisic, the guide (version 1.5) groups heroes from S-tier down to C-tier based on their overall power at different stages of play, from mid-game to end-game, helping players decide which units are worth prioritising.

The rankings distinguish between "Secret" and "Mythic" rarity heroes, noting that only these tiers carry passive abilities, which is why they dominate the top of the list. S-tier picks include Cosmic Entity, Aizon, Heavenly General and Crimson Knight, each offering strong damage buffs, active procs or life-siphon effects suited to either physical or mage builds. A-tier heroes such as Sin of Pride, Itahi, Orc King, Noruto and Soul Warrior are highlighted as strong alternatives, particularly for magic and burn damage-over-time builds, with the guide also covering recommended spells, teams and classes further down.
