Anker has unveiled its first over-the-counter (OTC) hearing aids at IFA 2026, entering a market that recently lost two major US players. The launch comes shortly after LXE Hearing, parent company of Eargo and Lexie Hearing, announced it was exiting the US OTC hearing aid business, leaving a gap Anker may now be positioned to fill.

The new devices use a receiver-in-canal design, with the main body sitting behind the ear, and are built around Anker's Thus chip, first introduced in April in the Soundcore Liberty 5 Pro earbuds. Four beam-forming microphones help focus on speech from in front of the wearer, and the aids offer up to 12 hours of use (36 hours with the charging case), with a five-minute fast charge adding two hours of listening time, which Anker claims is the fastest among rivals. Specific models, US availability and pricing have not yet been announced, though further details are expected by the end of the year.
