A new trailer has been released for “Verity”, an R-rated thriller starring Anne Hathaway, Dakota Johnson and Josh Hartnett, due in cinemas on 2 October. The film adapts a story about a struggling writer drawn into a celebrated author’s unsettling family life, with secrets and romantic tensions complicating her work.

Johnson plays Lowen Ashleigh, who is hired to ghostwrite for renowned author Verity Crawford, played by Hathaway, under mysterious circumstances. After finding disturbing autobiographical notes, Lowen must determine what is fiction and what is real while becoming involved with Verity’s husband, Jeremy, played by Hartnett; Michael Showalter directs.
