Anne Hathaway’s thriller *Verity*, adapted from Colleen Hoover’s best-selling novel, has passed $145 million at the worldwide box office. The total signals a strong theatrical run for the psychological thriller, which opened in North America earlier this month.

The film has earned $66.1 million domestically and $79.2 million internationally, for a worldwide total of $145.3 million. Its domestic opening was $32 million. The story follows struggling writer Lowen Ashleigh, who moves to author Verity Crawford’s estate to ghostwrite for her and discovers disturbing notes that blur the line between truth and fiction.
