A new film inspired by Anne Wilson’s hit Christian song “My Jesus” is set to begin production next month, with Aliza Kate Barlow making her feature-film debut in the lead role. Produced by Lionsgate and Kingdom Story Company, the coming-of-age drama will explore Wilson’s rise from teenager posting a video online to emerging Christian and country music star, while examining the effects of that success on her family, friendships, faith and sense of purpose.

Kay Oyegun wrote and will direct the film, adapting Wilson’s book *My Jesus: From Heartache to Hope*. Gavin Casalegno plays Wilson’s brother, Jacob, alongside Monica Potter, Charles Esten and Beau Bridges as members of her family. The song topped Billboard’s Hot Christian Songs chart and spent seven weeks at No. 1 on Christian Airplay; Wilson’s album *My Jesus* later received a Grammy nomination for Best Contemporary Christian Music Album.
