KATSEYE leader Sophia Laforteza has announced a temporary hiatus from promotional activities to prioritise her health, making her the second member to step back this year after Manon’s February hiatus. The decision raises further uncertainty for fans as the group prepares to release its WILD EP, though both Laforteza and the group’s management say they expect her to return.

Laforteza said she needs to care for her mind and body so she can continue performing in the long term, and asked fans to support KATSEYE while she recovers. HYBE x Geffen said medical professionals advised extended rest and ongoing care, and will reassess her condition in September; it described her mental health and wellbeing as the priority.
