Anthrax and publisher Z2 have announced NOT: The Illustrated Oral History of Anthrax, a graphic album recounting stories from the thrash metal band’s four-decade career. Due in March 2027, it follows their 2021 collaboration on a graphic-novel adaptation of Among the Living and aims to turn the group’s real experiences into illustrated, humorous anecdotes.

The book will cover episodes including Anthrax’s early encounters with KISS, friendships with Metallica and Pantera, its collaboration with Public Enemy, and an appearance on Married… With Children. A deluxe edition will include a 12-inch greatest-hits picture disc featuring the band’s Notman mascot, while contributors include comic artists associated with MAD Magazine, Marvel, Bob’s Burgers and Garbage Pail Kids.
