Anton Stach snatches late Leeds winner to sour Glasner’s start at Nottingham Forest
Anton Stach scored a late free-kick to give Leeds United a 1-0 Premier League win at Nottingham Forest, spoiling Oliver Glasner’s first competitive match as Forest head coach. Leeds were the more dangerous side throughout, while Forest produced a subdued display that offered little encouragement despite several new arrivals.
Stach struck from the edge of the area after Nikola Milenkovic fouled him, with Matz Sels getting a hand to the effort but unable to keep it out. Leeds had Harry Wilson’s debut goal ruled offside and saw Tarik Muharemovic denied by Sels, while Forest hit the post through Milenkovic and Jair Cunha; the teams meet again in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday.
