Apichatpong Weerasethakul’s ‘Jengira’s Magnificent Dream,’ With Tilda Swinton, Boarded by ‘Triangle of Sadness’ Mexican Co-Producer Piano

Piano, the Mexican production and distribution company behind *Triangle of Sadness*, has joined Apichatpong Weerasethakul’s upcoming film *Jengira’s Magnificent Dream*, producer Julio Chavezmontes confirmed. Tilda Swinton is attached, reuniting with the director after *Memory*. The project reflects Piano’s focus on international collaborations and films with distinctive creative visions.

The story follows a Thai widow who travels to Sri Lanka to scatter her husband’s ashes, then experiences visions that unsettle her sense of time and space. The cast also includes Jenjira Pongpas, Sakda Kaewbuadee and Connor Jessup; the film is described as combining 1970s science-fiction aesthetics with supernatural themes. Piano, marking its 15th anniversary, is also participating in Morelia with a co-produced film and five distributed titles.
