The Hollywood Reporter · 7 hours ago

Apple TV+ has announced its first dating series, The Last Person on Earth, an eight-part documentary format pairing seemingly incompatible singles in remote romantic locations. The programme reflects streaming platforms’ continuing interest in unscripted dating shows, as producers seek fresh variations on a highly successful genre.

Couples therapist and author Esther Perel will select participants alongside matchmakers and therapists, with the series testing whether unfamiliar or opposing personalities can form lasting relationships. It is produced by Boldprint Studios and executive produced by Dan Gray, Lou Hutchinson and Phil Harris, with Josh Jacobs and Olly Lambert directing; no release date was announced.
