Apple TV has confirmed a second season of the Emmy-nominated drama series "Carême", continuing the story of Antonin Carème, the world's first celebrity chef, who rose to prominence during the Napoleonic era. The announcement follows hot on the heels of the first season receiving a prestigious international Emmy nomination for drama, which launched to critical acclaim in April 2025.

The French-language series, directed by Martin Bourboulon and starring Benjamin Voisin as Carème, chronicles the chef's ascent from poverty in Paris to culinary stardom, whilst powerful politicians exploit his talents as a spy. The second season will begin filming next week in iconic Parisian locations including the Tuileries Palace and Château de Fontainebleau, with principal cast members Jérémie Rénier and Alice Da Luz returning. The series is created by historian and screenwriter Ian Kelly and Davide Serino, based on Kelly's acclaimed book "Carème: Cooking for Kings: The Life of the First Celebrity Chef".
