Apple TV is set to release the first episode of Ted Lasso's fourth season this Wednesday, 5 August, marking the comedy's return after a three-year hiatus. The show had been widely presumed to have concluded after its third season in 2023, but online reports of a revival proved accurate when Apple officially confirmed last year that a new season would arrive in 2026.

The new episodes will follow Ted (Jason Sudeikis) in a notably different set of circumstances away from his previous role at AFC Richmond, though full plot details remain under wraps. The revival forms part of a strong run for Apple TV, which is coming off what it called its biggest year yet in 2025, buoyed by the returns of Severance and the debut of Pluribus from Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan, as well as the recent comedy-drama The Dink starring Jake Johnson.
