Apple TV’s Biggest Hit of 2026 Is Officially Coming to Theaters

Apple TV will hold free, one-night-only cinema screenings of the final three episodes of *Widow’s Bay*’s first season, its successful 2026 horror-comedy series. The event marks Apple TV’s first theatrical exposure for a television series, reflecting streaming platforms’ growing use of limited cinema releases to create publicity and fan engagement.

The screenings are scheduled for Wednesday 12 August at selected AMC cinemas in Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York and San Francisco. Apple TV is organising the event with Rutgers University, the alma mater of series creator Katie Dippold, after the programme climbed the service’s streaming charts during its first season.
