The update confirms that the streamer is moving ahead quickly with its newest major sci-fi success after the show overtook Severance as Apple TV’s most-watched sci-fi series.

Gilligan revealed the expected production timing during a podcast appearance, though no release date or further plot details were announced. Pluribus had already received an official second-season renewal following its record-breaking first season, adding to Apple TV’s established sci-fi line-up, which includes See, For All Mankind and Severance.
