Apple TV is to premiere an adaptation of William Gibson's seminal science-fiction novel "Neuromancer" on 22 January 2027. The 40-year-old cyberpunk story was previously considered impossible to adapt for screen due to technological limitations in depicting its complex digital landscapes and shifting realities. Now that visual effects technology has matured, Apple has committed to bringing this mind-bending narrative to television as a 10-episode thriller, marking a significant addition to the streamer's expanding catalogue of ambitious science-fiction dramas.

The series stars Callum Turner as Case, a disgraced super-hacker, and Briana Middleton as Molly, a razor-equipped assassin, who team up to orchestrate a heist against a powerful corporation. The show is created and showrun by Graham Roland, with director JD Dillard overseeing the opening three episodes. Supporting cast members include Mark Strong, Peter Sarsgaard, Joseph Lee and Clémence Poésy. The first two episodes will air on the premiere date, with Apple TV releasing additional programming throughout 2027, including "The Savant" in spring and the final season of "Silo" on 9 July.
