Apple TV has released the official trailer for its adaptation of William Gibson's 1984 novel Neuromancer, confirming a premiere date of 22 January 2027. Widely regarded as the founding text of the cyberpunk genre, the book has never previously been adapted for film or television despite several failed attempts, so the series carries considerable weight of expectation. Created by Graham Roland and J. D. Dillard and first announced in 2024, the trailer suggests Apple has invested heavily in bringing the world to the screen.

The footage shows sprawling futuristic cityscapes, retrofuturistic cybernetic implants and brief shots of space, evoking the bleak, technology-saturated dystopia Gibson envisioned around artificial intelligence, cyberspace and unchecked consumer capitalism, and even references the novel's famous opening line.
