Arca premiered material from her forthcoming album, ‘XXXXX’, in a two-hour livestream filmed across seven locations in Barcelona. Rather than a conventional concert, the Daniel Sannwald-directed event presented stylised, real-time music-video performances, underlining Arca’s preference for visual experimentation alongside her music.

The album is Arca’s first in almost five years and will be released by XL on 31 July. She announced the record earlier this week without releasing advance singles, instead using the livestream to introduce its songs; clips featuring ‘Fxck’ and ‘Sueño’ have since been shared.
