Argentine rapper Dillom has released La Nueva Violencia, a 13-track album that examines social anger, self-contradiction and the pressures of celebrity. In an interview with Billboard Argentina, he describes himself as both participating in and being harmed by the system he criticises, presenting the record as a more introspective follow-up to his earlier abrasive rock-star persona.

Released on 12 August through his independent label Bohemian Groove, the album also includes a voice memo from Dillom’s father. The artist, whose real name is Dylan León Masa, links the record’s themes to online outrage, inequality, war and everyday hardship; he also reflects on the distance fame has created since selling out Buenos Aires’s Vélez Stadium on 20 December.
