Ari Emanuel and Ben Persky’s Podcast ‘Rushmore’ Returns for Season 2 With Guests Including Larry David and Jerry Seinfeld

Ari Emanuel and Ben Persky are bringing their podcast “Rushmore” back for a second season, using debates about the greatest figures in different fields to draw out guests’ expertise and personal stories. The return expands the show’s reach: after its first season premiered exclusively on X, the new episodes will be available on YouTube and major podcast platforms.

Season 2 starts on 20 October with NFL commissioner Roger Goodell and analyst Pat McAfee discussing the NFL’s greatest comebacks. Shaquille O’Neal and Kevin Durant will debate the best NBA starting five on 27 October, after which episodes will appear every two weeks; Larry David and Jerry Seinfeld are also due to join for a comedy special recorded at the Netflix Is a Joke festival in May 2026. Ari Emanuel is a prominent talent agent and entertainment executive, while Ben Persky is a media executive. Their podcast uses the idea of a “Mount Rushmore” — a shortlist of the greatest people in a field — to prompt guests to discuss their choices and share stories from their work.

The guests come from sport and comedy, including NBA players Shaquille O’Neal and Kevin Durant, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, analyst Pat McAfee, and comedians Larry David and Jerry Seinfeld. Their different careers give the programme a way to explore how people judge achievement and influence in fields with large audiences.

The podcast’s first season was released only on X; the second is also set to appear on YouTube and major podcast platforms. That wider availability may make the series easier for listeners to find.
