Ariana Grande’s album Petal has debuted at number one on the UK Albums Chart, giving her a sixth consecutive UK chart-topping album. The result extends a run that began with Dangerous Woman in 2016 and underlines her sustained commercial success in Britain.
Her earlier albums Yours Truly and My Everything reached numbers seven and three respectively, before five later releases also topped the chart. Grande’s Eternal Sunshine Tour ends with ten nights at London’s O2 from 15 August, after which her representative says she plans to step back from public-facing work amid ongoing scrutiny; Michael Jackson and Olivia Rodrigo remained second and third in the latest chart.
