Ariana Grande has filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles against two unidentified hackers accused of leaking her unreleased music, demos and studio footage after breaking into the computers and devices of photographers and producers who worked with her. The singer claims the material was sold "on the dark web" for significant sums, describing a years-long pattern of intrusions that she says has breached the "sacred relationship" between her and her fans and caused serious harm to her career.

Court documents state that 45 unreleased Grande songs were leaked in 2023 alone, and that hundreds of similar leaks have occurred since her 2011 debut. The suit details specific incidents, including a 2025 hack of a producer's mobile phone to access unreleased masters and demos, and a 2024 scheme in which hackers impersonated a photographer by email to trick a digital technician into sending unreleased images. Grande is suing for invasion of privacy, violation of California computer hacking laws and conversion, with her lawyers seeking to use the case to identify the perpetrators. The filing comes as she prepares to release her eighth studio album, Petal, and continues her world tour, which reaches the UK in August.
