Arrests after drone and drugs found near prison
Three men have been arrested after police found a drone, suspected drugs and a knife near HMP Lindholme in South Yorkshire. The case highlights efforts to prevent contraband being smuggled into prisons, including through drones.
Police spotted a black Volvo S60 near the prison at about 22:15 BST on Tuesday and pursued it after it failed to stop. Officers recovered a camouflaged parcel containing Class A and B drugs, tobacco, e-cigarettes and a knife, and all three men were later released on bail while inquiries continue.
