Arsenal midfielder Maddy Earl has joined Sheffield United on loan for the rest of the season. The move gives the teenager another opportunity for regular senior football after limited playing time during an earlier loan spell at Bristol City.

Earl’s Bristol City loan was ended early, and she subsequently signed professional terms with Arsenal after turning 18 in October. Sheffield United, who compete in the Women’s Championship, will provide a new environment for her development, while Arsenal retain her long-term registration.
