Arsenal Women goalkeeper Fran Stenson has joined Sheffield United Women on loan for the remainder of the season. The move should offer her regular first-team football, which she has struggled to secure at Arsenal, while giving Sheffield United added depth in goal.

The 21-year-old joined Arsenal from Manchester City in 2019 and has made one senior appearance for the Gunners. She has previously spent time on loan at Blackburn Rovers, Brighton and Birmingham City, with her Birmingham spell ended early because of limited playing time; Arsenal currently have Manu Zinsberger, Sabrina D’Angelo and Kaylan Marckese among their goalkeepers.
