Acorn TV, the AMC Global Media streaming platform, has confirmed a second season of its crime drama *Art Detectives*, with cast and creators now speaking publicly about the renewal. Stephen Moyer, who plays Detective Inspector Mick Palmer, said he was looking forward to filming eight new episodes and reuniting with co-star Nina Singh, while writer and co-creator Paul Powell and Acorn TV programming chief Don Klees both praised the first season's reception and teased further murders tied to stolen art and antiques.

The series follows DI Palmer and DC Shazia Malik (Singh) of the fictional Heritage Crime Unit as they investigate crimes involving Old Master paintings, Banksy street art and rare antiquities. Larry Lamb returns as Mick's art-forging father Ron, currently in an open prison following the theft plot resolved at the end of season one. Filming begins this month in Belfast and Northern Ireland, with season two launching as a two-part special in December 2026 ahead of a full six-episode run in 2027. The first season was Acorn TV's most-watched new series premiere to date, and executives linked the renewal to the streamer's recent success with other titles including *You're Killing Me* and *Harry Wild*.
