Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced has already sold over 3.5 million copies, “exceeding annual expectations within its first 14 days”
Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced has sold more than 3.5 million copies in its first 14 days, surpassing Ubisoft’s full-year expectations for the remake. The strong launch offers a rare positive result for Ubisoft as it continues a wider restructuring programme and faces declining overall bookings.
Ubisoft reported first-quarter net bookings of €256 million, down 9% year-on-year but slightly above guidance, with record performance from mobile game Invincible: Guarding the Globe helping results. The publisher said Rainbow Six Siege met expectations, while continuing “rightsizing” measures linked to reported layoffs and studio changes that could affect around 380 jobs; this follows further job cuts earlier this year.
- Black Flag Resynced surpassed 3.5 million sales in 14 days.
- Ubisoft’s quarterly bookings fell 9% to €256 million.
- Layoffs and restructuring continue despite the successful launch.
