Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced’s latest update stops unexpected mutinies triggered by ship shopping trips and forces skies to be sunnier

Ubisoft has released title update 1.0.4 for Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced, fixing a bug that caused players' ships to vanish entirely if they upgraded the Jackdaw while docked. The glitch could effectively strand players and prevent them from progressing through the game, making it one of the more disruptive issues addressed since launch.

The update, rolling out on 16 July at 3pm BST, also fixes various localisation issues in Simplified Chinese, Italian and Arabic, lighting problems indoors and in caverns, and clipping through the ship's hull while swimming. On PC, cutscenes will no longer be locked to 30 FPS with custom graphics settings, a harpooning glitch tied to boarding ships has been resolved, weather has been tweaked to allow more clear skies while still permitting fog, and killed enemies will no longer produce the sound of multiple bodies falling. The patch arrives as some staff at Ubisoft's Barcelona studio face planned layoffs and have been protesting alongside Spanish unions.
