Assassin’s Creed Stunt Recreated in Real Life as Red Bull Athlete Sets Haystack Jump World Record

IGN · 12 hours ago

Red Bull athlete Lilou Ruel has broken the world record for the highest haystack jump, recreating the "Leap of Faith" stunt made famous by the Assassin's Creed video game series. The professional freerunner and stuntwoman completed the jump safely, landing unharmed in a large stack of hay, in a moment captured on video by Red Bull that has since gone viral.

Ruel's jump measured 18.2 metres, roughly the height of a six-storey building, surpassing the previous record of 18.1 metres set in May 2026 by fellow Red Bull athlete Dominic Tommasso, who performed his jump dressed as Edward Kenway to mark the launch of Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced. The game itself has seen strong sales since its 9 July 2026 release, passing 3 million copies within a week, though its launch has been overshadowed by Ubisoft's announcement in June of 380 job cuts, including staff who worked on the title's diving sequences.
