Assassin’s Creed Valhalla New Game+ Patch Is Way Bigger Than Anticipated, Adds PS5 Pro Support
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla has received a New Game+ update, more than three years after Ubisoft’s last major patch. The addition answers a long-standing player request and expands the game’s progression, while also bringing PS5 Pro support that improves image clarity and lets the 4K quality mode run at 60 frames per second.
New Game+ unlocks after the Holy Day quest in Hamtunscire, and repeated playthroughs become progressively harder. Players can collect mythril to upgrade Divine gear beyond its previous level cap, while Extended Progression adds smaller power increases from gear, runes and mastery points. The update also adds a gear-and-rune stash in Ravensthorpe, rune upgrades for silver, combat balance changes and access to Platinum ingots without the Dawn of Ragnarok DLC.
In short
- Valhalla’s long-requested New Game+ mode is now available.
- PS5 Pro support brings 60fps to the 4K quality mode.
- Mythril and Extended Progression add further gear upgrades.
